She’s a mother of three, a wife, a mentor, an entrepreneur and a strong woman. Our award-winning founder Kristina Lindhe wasn’t afraid to change course later in life just to make her hobby a lifestyle. Here are her tips on how to be successful in life and work:

NEW IS NOT SCARY
The mistake is not in trying new things. It’s in not changing course when you see that you’re not smooth sailing. ”Try new things, but pay attention to what works and what doesn’t,” Lindhe says.

THERE'S NO "I" in SUCCESS
After you’ve created a growing business it’s easy to fall in the habit of doing it all because you can do it well. Stop that. ”What happens is that your colleagues will come to you with things that others in your company can do.”

CLEAR COMMUNICATION IS A CLEAR PATH TO SUCCESS
Miscommunication is common when working with people. ”Make sure you’re clear in your communication so coworkers don’t start interpreting things their own way. Clarity is how you all work toward the same goals,” she explains.

FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTHS
”You’ll go farther in your journey if you focus on your strengths rather than your weaknesses. Of course there are certain weaknesses that should be addressed, but I think time and energy are best spent on what you’re already good at.”

STICK TO ONE CONCEPT
”The classic rookie mistake is mixing different styles. Don’t be scared to sift through your ideas”

LEARN TO SAY NO
”Even though I've been doing this for a while, I’m still learning to say no even though there’s a lot I still want to do.”

TOSS THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR
"What’s done is done. There’s no point in looking back at your mistakes. Always focus on your future."

HAVE GRAND PLANS
Her coming from a small town didn’t stop her from starting an international business. Dare to think big she said. ”You’ve started a company and it’s working, but can you do more? What’s your next feat?” she says.
