ABOUT KRISTINA
Kristina Lindhe founded Lexington nearly twenty years ago, succeeding like few
others in creating a special home atmosphere. The characteristic Lexington style is
inspired by her life in the Hamptons on Long Island, by her Scandinavian origins, and
by the four seasons.

GROWING UP
"I grew up in a small town on Sweden’s east coast. My childhood
was a happy one, although perhaps a bit lonely, as I was an only
child. My mother was a prolifically creative person who loved all
types of sewing, decorating, and arranging things, so I always had
ready access to fabric, yarn, and a sewing machine. I was allowed to
do just as I liked, and I always got help when I needed it. I learned
to knit, crochet, and sew at an early age". - Kristina

KRISTINA'S INSPIRATION
"I find inspiration in everything: things I see
and experience, people I meet, and tastes that I encounter. I can
be inspired by meadow flowers, the shades of granite on an island
in the archipelago, an espresso at a café, a high-end magazine, or
someone I meet".

RATHER THAN COOKING
AMERICAN EAST COAST MEETS SCANDINAVIA
"My love for American East Coast style is rooted in my fascination
with the architecture, the landscape, and the friendly atmosphere.
The colors are important. I love the gray cedar shingle houses, and
the white houses with their porches, balconies, and window shutters.
These details, along with my Scandinavian need for light, are translated
into specific design considerations for me, and, as a result,
white becomes an important color. All of this together is the basis
for my personal interpretation of the New England style".
